Good meaning, nothing against it in the sources
Title of John the Baptist (Yahya in the Qur'an). It names the Christian rite of baptism, so it is counted as a name of another religion; a scholar's call. Some fatwas (IslamWeb 266275 and 301771) call names peculiar to another faith impermissible for a Muslim; others (SeekersGuidance) allow foreign names unless their meaning expresses disbelief. Scholars differ.
Confidence: medium
