Privacy
Nominy, the app and this web page, is built to collect as little as possible. Nominy is made by DevIt (devit.ma).
- We do not ask for your email address or phone number.
- We store the display name you type and your votes and comments, for the board you joined. The owner of a board also stores its title, the names on it, an optional family name and the guidance they chose (Islamic or open), which is a religious preference.
- Only people on that board can see them, and only after they have finished voting themselves.
- The owner of the board can delete the board, and with it your name, votes and comments. A board that nobody has touched for 18 months is deleted automatically.
- The app keeps your shortlist and settings on your phone only. Starting a vote creates an account for your phone: a random key kept in the app, with no email or password, stored on our server only as a hash.
- To delete everything you created, open Settings in the app and choose Delete my account. It removes the account, the votes you created with their names, answers and comments, and your place on other votes. If you only voted from a link, ask the owner of that board to remove you or delete it, or write to us.
- This page keeps a small note in your browser so you do not have to join again, and remembers your language in a cookie. There are no ads, no trackers and no outside fonts or scripts.
- If this page itself breaks, it can send an error report to us: the error text and a random code that is forgotten when you close the tab. It never includes your name, your votes or your link.
- When the app fails it sends a crash report (the error text, the app version and the Android version) to DevIt's own server. If you turn on Share anonymous usage in Settings it also counts which features are used, under a random id; that is off by default. Neither ever contains names, searches, votes or board titles.
- Requests pass through Cloudflare, and our server keeps standard access logs (your IP address, the time and the page) for 14 days, for security. Links that carry an invitation are left out of those logs.
- Questions or requests about your data: [email protected].
