A name the Prophet advised against (bad omen)
Named in Muslim 2137 beside Yasar, Rabah and Aflah (the English on that mirror garbles the list, the Arabic wording names Najih). The Prophet told people not to give servants this name, because asking 'is he here?' and hearing 'no' sounds like a bad omen. Commentators call it disliked, not forbidden, and note that he left his own servants Rabah and Yasar so named.
Confidence: medium
